People who suffer at the hands of a domestic abuser often feel that they have nowhere to turn, even if they sense that the cycle of violence that envelops them is getting worse.  Ultimately, too many people who suffer through this type of abuse wind up permanently injured or worse.  Until now, when the alleged victim was unable to be present to testify as to what occurred, it left many criminal prosecutions unresolved.  However, a new development could be changing all of that for the better.

According to a few reports, several people are getting ready to offer a new cell phone or wireless app that would provide people who are being abused with an opportunity to record a video and to fill out certain legal documents.  This app would basically create what would serve as an affidavit that would provide information regarding instances of abuse that occurred, injuries that were suffered, specific personal information about the abuser and the victim and other data that could be used after someone goes missing to bring about a proper form of justice.

The app is set to debut on Christmas Day of this year, and it's hoped that people who suffer from abuse will make use of it and begin to compile evidence in a discrete manner that will help bring their abusers to justice should the worst case scenario ever come to pass.  The information could be stored and released without the abuser ever having knowledge of it.
