Anyone who has been married can attest to the fact that there are good times and bad that can arise at any point during a marriage. One of the most difficult challenges that any married couple can face arises when one of the spouses receives a diabolical medical diagnosis, as this can force a couple to face the possibility that one of them may have a terminal disease. Perhaps the most serious diagnosis that can be administered is that of cancer, and a recent study has shown that married women may have more to fear than their male counterparts when they learn that they have this disease.

When San Diego high asset divorce cases arise, they often involve one spouse having an ownership interest in a business that in part defines the value of the marital estate. Unfortunately, a lack of proper planning could lead to an ex-spouse suddenly becoming a partner in the business that the other spouse owned while the two parties were married. However, there are steps that can be taken that would help to prevent this possibility and to protect the interests of the other owners of the business and the company’s employees.

As researchers and statisticians compile their facts and figures that relate to many different social phenomena, one subject that’s been drawing more interest is divorce. It’s gotten to the point where even the United States Census Bureau has been involved with studying this issue, and the agency recently released a relatively comprehensive set of statistics that deal with this process, how it happens, when it happens and where it happens with the most frequency.
